Ways to get it
Five routes. One you can walk alone.
Card Clash started as a Moodle activity, but the game does not care where it runs. Pick the route that matches what you already have — an LMS, a group of learners, a product, a curriculum, or a training room with a table in it.
| Route | You have | You get | How it’s priced |
|---|---|---|---|
| Card Clash for Moodle | Your own Moodle site | The activity plugin, all decks, updates, support | Annual subscription · self-serve |
| Hosted courses | Learners, but no LMS | A hosted course and one link to share | Per course · on request |
| Card Clash Embedded | Your own website or product | A standalone build integrated into it | Project · fixed quote |
| Deck & didactics support | Data and a learning goal | Decks that actually teach the thing | Workshop or day rate |
| Printed card decks | A room full of people | Branded physical decks, professionally printed | Project · per print run |

Hosted courses
No LMS, no admin, no accounts for your learners. We set up a course on our Moodle, you get a link and a password, you write both on the board. Everyone plays.
Tell us what you need
Choose the deck and the settings that fit your group.
Share the link
Guest access with a password. Nobody registers anything.
Play
Phones, tablets, the classroom PCs — whatever is in the room.
A note on tracking. Guest access is deliberately anonymous: learners play, but no personal data is collected and individual results are not tracked. If you need per-learner grades and reports, you want the Moodle plugin — or ask us about a managed course with real accounts.
Card Clash Embedded
Your platform, your users, your look. We build a standalone version of the game and integrate it where your audience already is — a product, a customer portal, a campaign site, an intranet.
What that usually means
- The game engine without the Moodle dependency
- Your design system applied to the cards (worked example)
- Your data source, or an editor for your team
- Single sign-on or no sign-in at all — your call
- Results pushed to your analytics or backend
How we work
- A scoping call, then a written proposal
- Fixed scope and fixed price per phase
- Source handed over, GPL v3 at the core
- Optional maintenance afterwards
Good fits we’ve seen
A bank teaching product comparison inside its advisor portal. An energy supplier explaining tariffs and consumption. A publisher turning an atlas into a game beside the e-book. An NGO making the numbers behind a campaign playable rather than shocking.
If your data has entities and comparable numbers, it has a deck in it.
Deck & didactics support
The game is the easy part. Choosing which five numbers belong on a card — so that the deck is balanced, the comparisons are fair, and playing it teaches the thing you actually care about — is where we help.
Find the deck in your data
We look at what you have — a curriculum, a product catalogue, a research dataset — and work out which entities and which attributes make a game worth playing twice.
Balance it
A deck where one card wins everything is boring; a deck where everything ties is worse. We use the built-in balance report to tune the spread before your learners ever see it.
Tie it to the outcome
Which lesson does the deck open? What does the knowledge-gap report tell you to re-teach? We set up the activity so the game produces evidence, not just engagement.
Source the numbers
Every value in our shipped decks is documented and traceable. We apply the same discipline to yours — which matters when a learner, a parent or an auditor asks.
Train the trainers
A half-day with your teaching staff: building a deck, reading the reports, and the handful of classroom formats that work best with a card game.
Build it with your learners
The strongest format we know: the class researches the data and builds the deck, then plays it. We help you design that project so it fits the hours you have.
Printed card decks
Some rooms are better without screens. We take a deck — one of ours or one of yours — put your branding on it, and have it properly printed.
- Standard playing-card format, the same layout as the digital card.
- Your logo, your colours, your cover and your box.
- Rules card included, so a substitute teacher can run it cold.
- Print run sized to your group, your school network or your conference.
- Works standalone, or as the offline half of a blended unit.
The trade-fair favourite. A branded deck about your own products or your own industry data is a giveaway that people play on the train home instead of dropping in the bin at the exit. Put a QR code on the back and it becomes a funnel — see Card Clash for Business.

Most customers pick two
The routes are meant to be combined.
A school network
Plugin subscription for the Moodle all schools share, a half-day of deck support so the science department can build their own, and a printed deck of the result for the primary classes that don’t get devices.
A bank’s academy
Deck support to turn product and risk data into a balanced deck, the plugin inside the existing Moodle for tracked completion, and an embedded version on the customer portal for the public-facing part.
A single teacher
One hosted course for tomorrow’s lesson. That’s it. If it works, talk to the IT department in the summer.
A museum
A printed deck for the workshop room, an embedded version on the exhibition website, and a hosted course for the schools that visit.
Next step
Bring us a spreadsheet. We’ll bring the cards.
Tell us who is learning and what they should be able to feel by the end. We’ll tell you which route gets you there fastest.
